I read he drank a fifth of it a day. He was a functional alcoholic before the term existed.
I heard the roll of dimes was because a loved one (maybe his son?) of his was once kidnapped and he had to call the kidnappers at a pay phone and he was always terrified after that about not having change for a pay phone. Not sure if that was true or not.
True. It was Frank Sinatra Jr.
A roll of dimes and yet he still hasn't called.
That is because he forgot to bury a pay phone with him:)
Frank is buried here in Palm Springs. I was surprised to see his headstone is somewhat average & he's buried with the rest of us...no ornate family plot.
Greatest singer of the 20th century.
Roll of dimes was also good for a fist fight (and we all know Frank was a scrapper).
Maybe, but 83 is a ripe old age. More likely they contributed to his vocal decline as he got older.
I buried my grandmother who loved to play poker with a Royal Flush. She couldn’t be beat.
Top of the heap "white supremacist" too, I see.

Even in death, Sinatra did it his way.
There will never be another.
the roll of dimes was a habit from when Frank Jr was kidnapped and he had to call frompay phones for instructions as I recall.
And his grave is between family members, I suppose, kinda crammed in between. Very unassuming. I've only seen pictures
Presumably he made across the Styx.
well, he had the coin to pay Charon the Ferryman. RIP.
