Churchill is clawing out of his grave, cigar in mouth, ready to defend his good name.

Are you suggesting that, as a historian, you are struggling to make the analogy work????

Maybe we should ask for clarification. Did Churchill have a bombastic younger brother who had no sense of either history or governing? Or Joe Churchill, who used to fix cars in my old neighborhood?
-
Churchill had a younger brother, Jack, who became a stockbroker and died in 1947. He lived in No 10 during WWII when he was bombed out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Churchill_(1880–1947) …
-
I had no idea. I hope he was a wonderful person and excellent dinner companion. And that he used actual words to form complete sentences.
-
Not to be confused with "Mad Jack" Churchill (no relation) who went into battle in WWII armed with a longbow, bagpipes and a Scottish broadsword: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Churchill …
-
Well, the Scots...
-
Though he was born in Hong Kong, educated in the Isle of Man and lived in Surrey.
-
He brought an admirable world view to his mad endeavors. A person who plays the bagpipes presents an formidable foe.
-
"Churchill was said to be unhappy with the sudden end of the war, saying: "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years!"

It's like comparing Groucho Marx to Richard Marx.

Comparing Trump to Churchill as a leader or even as a human being is kind of like comparing Phyllis Diller to Brigitte Bardot as a sex symbol.
