        Everybody was giddy with excitement that we had actually gone to the moon- customs must have had a sense of humor. I remember watching the landing on one of several TVs put out around Newark Airport, where we were waiting to fly out. Special to watch it with a lot of people.

        General Declaration used on all flights that return to the US from a foreign origin, aka the “Gen Dec”. All crew members and passengers listed and presented to Customs and Immigrations on entry. Obviously this was done to signify the first landing of man on a celestial sphere.
