It's more of a grimace of effort imho. I get kind of the same look when struggling with wifi connectivity, I think.
Why do they seem so happy?
Why are they smiling?
looking strangely delighted.
I agree. I may have read that this photo was either staged or not the moment we learned of Pearl Harbor. It's looks more like "the war is over" moment. But, it probably is "after Pearl Harbor in 1941." Exactly when after?
I'm trying to un-see that some of them are smiling
A LOT of them are smiling. Looks staged.
It was the 1941. They probably only had one computer with Twitter on it.
Which, if you think about it, is really stupid. One person has to write a tweet, then log off, then someone else logs on to read that tweet. Much better technology today.
Guess I had to be there to get the joke.
Trump is wishing & trying to recreate something of this magnitude to distract from the Russia investigation! He would LOVE it! ie: North Korea and Israel. #Resistance #keeponpoint

Surprised by the laughing smiles on several reporters’ faces
You sure? They appear to be laughing.
That was my thought. They seem awfully cheery.
