Forever
Sitting in my high school auditorium when our Pricipal rolled a tv on to the stage and our world collapsed. I was 13 and it was the start of the conflicts of the 60's.
I spent the weekend in bed. Couldn't move, didn't want to. JFK was my first hero. Bobby was my 2nd hero. Went numb - again. Okay, choking up here.
Right there with you.
It was my brother's birthday. Poor little kid got gipped out of celebrating because our mother was too distraught. Horrible, horrible day.
Thank you. #JFK
somehow I don't think they thought this all the way through...pic.twitter.com/114pjBQtha
Such a lightning bolt day in our history.
[GROWING SENSE OF DREAD]
Oh gosh.
I remember very well. It was desperately sad!
I was a 14 year old 9th grader in Birmingham, Alabama. When the announcement came over the PA system that he had been assassinated. I laid my head on my desk & wept out loud.
I was just a kid but what a horrible day. It felt like a pall had fallen across the world; and we sensed that the country would never again be the same.
Touching. And tragic.
GOAT. RIP. #JFK
Fatal shot was from the front Obviously so
