One question I’ve long had about the golden age of airborne dining; given how much worse turbulence was back then (flying at a lower altitude, no radar to detect and fly around choppy air, less reliable storm forecasts) how did they avoid landing soaked in clam chowder?

The one time flag carrier of the United States. A ground breaking airline that changed travel. Allowed to go under... after being undercut by unfair regulations and successive admins and an oil crisis. I miss Pan Am.

It's actually DE-regulation that has destroyed the airline customer experience.
