Which one? The tall guy? He looks heavier and thicker beard than you normally see otherwise in pics

Lincoln is in the center, facing the camera but apparently looking down at his notes. He is not wearing a hat.

While Gettysburg was the high watermark for the Confederacy, Lincoln gave a soothing and conciliatory speech for the ages. And as the war raged for two more years, he did not brag about the victory.

When visiting the Gettysburg cemetery, I couldn't believe they didn't know the exact spot where the speech was given. There should be a shrine there.

Yea I was too. You stand in what is now the cemetery and they say it was probably over there somewhere over the fence

If any. Martin Luther King, Washington's farewell. I love reading it at the monument. And though I know it's just stone, I just think he's looking out over all of us. And we should be embarrassed.

That is the only photo graph of Lincoln during speeches. Here in Gettysburg for The Remembrance: parade (hopefully without incident today), luminaries tonight are probably cancelled due to weather, and wreath laying and speech on actual anniversary Sunday

Unknown to Lincoln, he was in the early stages stages of a smallpox as he delivered the Gettysburg Address. He became feverish that evening on the train back to DC.
