Remind me again about President Trump’s service record. It just slips my mind.

Quentin Roosevelt killed in combat during WWI. Germans attempted to use it as propaganda, but effort backfired.

And all four of FDR’s sons were in WW2, and one was awarded the Medal of Honor for heroics on DDay. How about that, Bone Spur?

That was significant because the Korean War was quite brutal: in logistics, environment, and the North's battle tactics. Moreover, Dwight had just gone through WW II and witnessed the loss of so many of our nation's sons and daughters.

Eisenhower’s son was in my dads 71st division during WW2 but only for a short while before he was pulled out of the infantry. Some of the guys in my dads platoon met him when his dad came to take him to his desk job.
