We live in strange times. Has there ever been a time with five living former presidents? Shall we make it six?

There was at least in the early Clinton years. Nixon, ford, carter, Reagan and bush
-
And then again in the early bush 43 years. Remove Nixon and add Clinton
-
Lincoln also had six.

Well, this time there will be plenty of former Presidents around to preside over Trump's Walk of Shame. The sooner the better.

Yes. Eisenhower, Truman, and Johnson all died during Nixon's presidency, leaving him the only living President.
-
And no one blamed Nixon? Ah, the good old days before conspiracy theories.

That is a very interesting fact of history. Nixon was alone in many ways.

I hope there are still 5 other living Presidents when Trump resigns. That'd be nice.

We have, what, five, right now? A coalition of ex-presidents might be just the thing we need to fix what Trump has done.

That's right. LBJ died a couple of days after Nixon's 2nd inauguration. Ike and Truman didn't survive his first term.
-
Eisenhower died in 1969
-
And Truman the day after Christmas, 1972. Less than a month before LBJ.
-
That's right! I think Truman had been the longest-lived former-president until Ronald Reagan, if I am remembering my facts right
-
Adams held the record until Reagan and Ford, who both lived to 93. Carter and GHW Bush are both 92 now

-
Presidents seem to be living longer!
