        Yes, I've been in NEW Ford's theatre & viewed derringer that killed Lincoln & went across the street & viewed where he took his last breath.

        I went to Ford's Theatre in 1974 & also saw apt across the street where Lincoln died-the blood stained pillow was there at the time...

        Yes when I went there in 1974-that pillow was on the bed encased in a thick acrylic. They moved it 2 the Smithsonian.

        The movement and exposure to air, probably deteriorated the pillow further.

        It was so cool that I got to see the pillow on the bed! I also love photography & old mansions, buildings, antiques. I collect vintage dolls

        I visited the then newly restored Ford's Theatre, and the death site across the street in 2009. Highly recommended, but sad to this day.
