that ahired on TOM The day before(Sunday) start of RNC this year..
And in the end she has to resign because she becomes pregnant!
The parade scene is the Kennedy Inauguration Day parade.
Illuminating. highly informative discussion with Joy Reid; thank you.
Spoiler alert ... she "has to" resign when she gets pregnant. A very pathetic movie even for the mid 60s.
Beschloss the Hater! Let Fred MacMurray rest in peace, why don't ya?
I was introduced to this by @timothysw -- simply amazing.
Remember seeing this on TV when I was maybe 12. Thought it was pretty awful too. Poor Fred M was too good an actor for this.
Trite, terrible and wholly reactionary while pretending to be hip. A debacle for everyone involved. Don't miss it, ha ha ha
I guess Fred MacMurray had some bills to pay or something.
I sent this to @HillaryClinton two days ago. Made my students watch the movie for homework and to get them ready

Perspective!!! In 1964, this scenario wasn't ridiculous.
I *must* see this movie.
Thank you 4 posting (and where the hell do you find this stuff?). Fred McMurray did a lot of really bad films/TV shows, frankly
