@BeschlossDC Where in NYC?
@ChuckLongIsland @BeschlossDC Looking east from 11th or 12th Ave, I think. Those elevated roadways are going into Port Authority, I believe.
@petecronin @ChuckLongIsland @BeschlossDC The view is from the rooftop at 39th & 10th (across from Astros Dog Run) looking east.

.@BeschlossDC View of Port Authority Bus Terminal (& ramps) and McGraw Hill Bldg from Lincoln Tunnel light tower (?).
.@BeschlossDC IIRC one of last scenes of "Midnight Cowboy" (1969) is of Buck & Rizzo in bus leaving bus term; other scenes of area too.
.@BeschlossDC At the time, area had unusual mix of tenements (Irish?), light industry and shiny new motor hotels (from '64 World' Fair).
.@BeschlossDC Just out of range to left was West Side Airlines Terminal -- could buy airline tickets & get buses to airports.
.@BeschlossDC There was an East Side A T too, near Midtown tunnel. WS Term less popular -- but both (substantial) bldgs had short lifespans.
