How old is she in this photo and what was her position to be able to get this close to JFK?

She was 21 yrs old. Thats probably Inauguration day. Her father was a congressman and also the Mayor of Baltimore, and she got involved in politics pretty young obviously.
-
She looks a little star struck. Of course, it's hard to tell, it's just an instant in a flash of time.
-
She probably was. I'm sure it was a huge moment for a 21 yr old to be there and get to talk to him. He had a big effect on young people.pic.twitter.com/LPxFE60HIj

*sigh* And the rule of the senior citizens continue...
-
So age and experience are worthless to you? Pelosi earned the Speakership--I think that's a good thing.
-
Not saying I dislike age and experience. What I dislike is people who are in their 70's making decisions that will have lasting consequences long after they're dead and gone because they're too selfish and greedy to pass the torch to the next gen.
-
So you dislike people in their 70's making decisions that have effects. Got it.
-
My real point is that she's been in her seat (which technically has changed three times) for over 30 years. if she hasn't accomplished what she set out to do, she needs to go. Her approval ratings are below Trump's. She's going to drag the party down.
-
this is not the time to pitch skill, savvy and experience overboard, we need her formidable capacity to unite the caucus - she wants to manage the transition to the next chapter, be patient
