The movement in the US to protect and preserve historic buildings was born out of that terrible decision to demolish Penn Station.

Nor Philadelphia, Baltimore, Newark NJ, or the East Side.

No the only tragedy with 30th St station in Philly is they are getting rid of the rotating ticket board for a digital display. Nothing quite like the whole station pausing and turning to look at the board as it rolled through and updated.
