I have the photo hanging in my living room and pictures of my Uncle John ,who continued the relationship up until his passing in 2000.

What always strikes me about historical photos like these is the absence of women in them. Only men had the right and ability to be full participating members of society, politics and business. They can kiss that nonsense goodbye.

I "witnessed" part of the Khrushchev tour! I was two-months old when Nikita's motorcade went through my hometown of Perry, Iowa. I have great home movie footage of the motorcade driving past my family, with my grandmother holding me. Big crowds on the street.
