and ash. I remember the walk home, trying to get cell service to explain to family and friends I was okay, worried another plane might strike anything around me. Sitting with friends, drinking, watching the smoke slowly creep up to where we were in the East Village. The tension,

Loved your recollection. I could feel it. I'm from Massachusetts, die-hard Red Sox fan. I rooted for the Yankees and New York so hard that year. I mean, yeah, everyone did but..oh wow it was just such a surreal and sad and powerful time.

Thank you! Definitely some permanent scarring. The love pouring into NYC on 9/11 and throughout the ensuing weeks and months was palpable. I remember that night watching the news and all this footage of crowds around the world, crying and holding signs in support. Beautiful.

Yeah. This person is obviously hurting. But is assuming alot. Maybe the people taking pictures love the city just as much. Like I said..it's assuming.
