What kind of person thinks that bombing a church is a good idea? Tragic!

The same evil that walks into it and shoot 9 ppl to death. The same evil that hung lynched and used babies for alligator bait in South Florida. The same evil that drives up on a 12 year old and shoot him to death in 4 - 6 seconds. The same evil that started & maintained slavery.

Those shoes on display at the DC African-American History Museum. Every American should see them.

My hometown is Birmingham, Alabama. Carol Denise McNair was my teacher’s niece. This makes me feel the grief even more!

I remember.....I was a 9 year-old white girl from the north, and this remains the moment that defined my awakening to the civil rights issues of that time. I was struck by the horror then, and sadly, am still being horrified today.

Our nation needs to remember our racist history so that no one is ever allowed to trivialize it or say it’s in the past. Based on a leader we are now aware how history can become present day if we aren’t united, especially against racism.

Addie Mae's sister Sarah was there in the blast, but she survived. In an 2013 NPR interview, she said ""I still shake. I still jump when I hear loud sounds,... "Every day I think about it, just looking in the mirror and seeing the scars on my face. I'm reminded of it every day."
