With Kavanaugh, Trump chose SCOTUS nominee with most aggressive views on expanding Presidential power and he just refused to answer whether a President must respond to subpoena, called it “hypothetical."

Considering that Trump himself has put out in public comment that he believes the constitution should be changed, the vote percentage for win should be changed, and that he should be president for life I'd say it's NOT hypothetical, even aside from Nixon.

IF you listened to his testimony, these are not his views, these were things he wrote for congress to consider moving forward.

This is a travesty. They’re going to vote him through when it’s blatantly obvious that they should not.

GOP has already consolidated power. Now they are tightening the bolts. If we want to have any chance of saving the country, gloves must come off. Yet... Will not a single senator do anything of substance to obstruct?

Nobody seems to realize yet that it’s time to fight. Media continues to normalize everything while GOP continues to move the goalposts. We haven’t learned anything. We’re dealing with traitors here.

Also, Dems didn't settle upon a single reason for halting the hearing. They had three: 1) president under investigation shouldn't appoint judges; 2) not enough docs to adequately evaluate 3) hearings shouldn't be near midterms. All valid, but by juggling three, they lost all.

Some of Trump's other judicial nominees have responded in the same manner; using the word "hypothetical." Those very same nominees refused to answer whether or not Brown v. Board of Education was correctly decided.

Can you subpoena a president? 1. It's not hypothetical, it's pertinent to an active investigation 2. Kavanaugh's answer is NO, which is why he was nominated.
