Kavanaugh looks imperious while he’s jotting down his notes. I don’t believe a WORD he’s saying.
-
He's a pajamas wearing under the robes political animal that thinks it's best to lie to the judiciary committee... that's how he barely got this judgeship in Washington D.C.

Both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh should recuse themselves if a case regarding Trump comes before the Supreme Court.
-
Did Breyer recuse himself from any cases involving President Clinton?
-
Serious question- What legal action involving Clinton went to the Supreme Court?
-
Clinton v. Jones
-
The difference, though, looking at it- Breyer concurred with the ruling (In favor of Jones). From Kavanaugh’s previous opinions, he would side with the President nominating him.
-
That wasn’t the question - the question was did he recuse himself and he didn’t (Breyer also was appointed at a time when Clinton was under investigation by the Whitewater special prosecutor)
-
Agreed. I just don’t think it was viewed the same. Kavanaugh was selected (from the Federal Society’s list) because of his opinions concerning Presidential exposure. That wasn’t a concern when Breyer was nominated (Seeing as how he ended up in concurrence against Clinton, esp)
-
Simply being appointed by the president isn't one of them (Nixon appointees ruled against him too and didn't recuse themselves).

They always simply answer that they will not answer hypothetical questions, especially anything that may come before the court.

Why do you think they pick him? It’s obvious, read his views on convicting a sitting president. The question to ask is who wiped his debts? and why?

Even if he is asked, he won't answer. And Senator Grassley has already given him the "out" by saying he shouldn't comment on anything that is relevant to the current members of the legislature.

This hearing has sparked all kinds of interest for me in learning more about the history of our highest court in the land the past few days
