Quote on gravestone of Chief Justice Earl Warren (1891-1974): "Where there is injustice, we should correct it; where there is poverty, we should eliminate it; where there is corruption, we should stamp it out….where there is neglect, we should provide care…."

I worry that present generations aren't even aware that a justice like Warren is possible. All the democrats demand moderate justices. No one even bothers to imagine a liberal justice anymore.

Earl Warren had such an interesting life. I have lived in Kern County (CA) for 40+ years and have learned so much about this early Bakersfield resident.

Earl Warren was born in Los Angeles and moved to Bakersfield when he was a boy. I remember reading that Eisenhower expected him to be more conservative. So happy he was wrong. ✌🏼 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Warren …

Warren was a Protestant but the pattern of that quote follows that of the well-known Prayer of St. Francis. I wonder if that is a coincidence. https://www.catholic.org/prayers/prayer.php?p=134 …

sounds like great things for a congress to do. Not so much a court.

Where there is a coup by assassination we should cover it up with some bs about a lone gunman and a magic bullet.

Those words on his gravestone are true, but did he? Or did he die with the guilt, or realizing at the last minute that that is what he should have done? I'd guess the latter, for which he was forgiven. The Warren Commission was fraught with cover ups. Debbie
