        JFK was like the men who served under Ike during the war. JFK survived the war to die like that, everyone's heart was broken. I still remember my parents' tears.

        I was one of those parents. I voted for JFK. It was my first time voting. My husband was in the Navy. We were devastated. We sat it seems like for days in front of the b&w TV. I still remember the exact moment I heard the news. Where I was, what I was doing. What I did. Sorrow.
