United States annexation of Hawaii not much different than Putin's annexation of Crimea: strategic location, excellent port, American business (sugar cane, et al) thinks it's a good idea.

First visit to Hawaii in 1969. Moved to Hawaii in 1970. Stayed for 20 years and loved every one of them. Went to school at U of H. Mahalo Mr. Beschloss.
-
Why did you leave?
-
Oahu got really crowded. I wanted to go back to school and get my Masters, and Cal Poly accepted me, so we moved to California. I do miss Hawaii, but not the crowds and traffic.
-
Oh, ok! I was wondering why would anyone leave such a beautiful place.
