That photo is really badly shopped They've flipped the image, altered the position of the earth, added stars (which'd be impossible to catch in daylight), and messed up the resolution https://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/imgcat/html/object_page/a11_h_44_6552.html …pic.twitter.com/dZ3Sh7aBP2

They're there. Look at the two backgrounds: The first two are the same two parts of the moon (just flipped horizontally) The third and fourth are the same images, but with the exposure boostedpic.twitter.com/QtPN4JuLyG

I'm just a bit of a photo nerd, the stars gave it away for me from the start The problem with people amplifying fake images is that the fake ones then get used to back up conspiracy theories. And it leaves the originals open to the claim that they too are faked

I just tap the photo which sticks it, into its own window, and then do the opposite of a pinch with my finger and thumb on the touch screen of my phone. The exposure stuff needs me to save the pic, and then use other software on it

When I see this, I think of the song From a Distance, written by Julie Gold. From a distance we all have enough And no one is in need And there are no guns, no bombs and no disease No hungry mouths to feed.
