Those may be representative of guns of the time, but I doubt they're the ones Hamilton and Burr used. Duels were usually fought with matched pairs of guns, and those are obviously not a matched set: one's a flintlock and the other uses percussion caps (which antedate the duel).

I don't know if the gun will fit his tiny hands.

@maggieNYT Perfect representation of what founders intended with second amendment. -
Google “Puckle Gun” and get back to me on the founding fathers and their intentions concerning the Second Amendment.
-
You mean a gun never used in combat, with no reliable record of more than two ever being built, that could fire at best 9 shots a minute in demonstration conditions, and that was designed primarily for military naval use?

These were some of the the arms folks in militias were allowed to bear.
-
‘shall not be infringed’. That’s the part that settles it. The remedy is a CA.
-
Right. The right to bear muzzle loaders in militias shall not be infringed, correct.
-
They didn’t qualify it w such language. The founders knew firearms well and anticipated advances. 2nd amendment stands solid w USSC. Do a CA to change it. I’d like to see a psych rest for 1st timers. It’s the nut-jobs doing the mass shootings.

Thanks for your informative and considerate response, Bones.
