        I spent a 4th of July weekend in Philadelphia, Annapolis, Baltimore , and Washington DC once, couldn't have had a better Holliday! My father, a SGT. In WWII, who fought in the battle of the bulge, for freedom, is rolling over in his grave at the TRAITORS now in charge.

        So was mine. 102nd Infantry Division. 2 Purple Hearts. Battle of the Bulge. France-Holland-Belgium-Germany. A nice European vacation.

        LOL! Not sure about my dad's outfit. He didn't talk a lot about his service. He did sit my down and tell me a few things that he wanted me to know. He landed 2nd day, he was in charge of a motor pool for jeeps, he was assigned Pattons 3rd army during the battle, that the war

        That the white soldiers treated the German prisoner's better than thier black counter parts. But him and my mom raised us not to be prejudiced. That those who are our small people, and that were much more than That! Thank you for your dad's service!

        My dad’s mother was African American. So yes, we were there. Mixed race people were not invented by Millenials!

        I think only Paul Giametti could have convinced me that the two Adams I knew historically - the cranky politician and the loving husband of the magnificent Abigail - could blend into one.

        I enjoyed that series, but I wish they had given off-camera narration of the letters between John and Abigail, which I hear are literary and historical gems, esp. Abigail's.
