Best 1970’s shower curtain pants ever. Love it. I wonder if Ford hit anyone in the head with a golf shot that day.

The period costume remark is, unfortunately, accurate.

I've got a pic of my dad in high 70's fashion - polyester shirt, orange, flared pants, longish hair and handlebar mustache. I like to tease him with it. Often. 😄

Remember when people questioned Gerald Ford’s ethics because he pardoned Richard Nixon?

Because they didn't understand that that was the way they got Nixon to resign.

Gerald Ford could teach the present administration a great deal about ethics.

The party rejected Ford when Reagan ran in 1980. They sneered at him. That was the end of my being a Republican.

I've never been able to identify completely with either party. I've been voting since the 80s and have never once seen a ballot where the best choices were all on one side.

Not in 2016? Where the heck do you live? I was a Republican because my parents raised me to be one. When I was 30 I woke up and noticed that Reagan had gone 180 on abortion and several other things from when he was governor of CA. That was part of my transformation.

And the thing with Jerry Ford, and then it became harder and harder to find sane Republicans to vote for, so I started looking at the Democrats. I vote blue now because even when I read EVERYTHING by all the candidates, the dems fit my beliefs now.
