some have pointed out that the hike seems to be caused by an index change, which would make sense (there could be mny other reasons as well). the larger point here is that whenever a pro-establishment candidate is confirmed you can see price hikes across many different industries

notice that i didn't explicitly state that the harris pick "caused" the hike, even if that is implied. causes to stock price changes can be rarely isolated; but it is not a far fetch to assume establishment candidates have an effect when that has been the case over & over again
