When I see numerous studies with bad technique it doesn't matter how many I see. Tnags why people compare your ilk unfavorably with th HCQ crowd. Being The Man In The Arena doesn't make your data more valid. All anyone is asking for is valid data.

And what don't you like about this one? RCT, but not peer-reviewed yet.https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.10.26.20219345v1 …

You wait for peer review, I'll listen to my doctor and take ivermectin if I get sick.

I don't drink, but if a thousands of doctors were claiming a gin and tonic might help, I could be convinced to give it a try versus just suffocating to death. Omg, but what about the "harm"?

By the way, how do you think Dr. Varon's hospital has such an low (in comparison) fatality rate? Is that just chance? Are they in a good catchment area? Do you look at that before determining hospital, or do you say, wow, that's a good rate, maybe they are doing something right

Are you familiar with the concept of "fail fast"? Other than vaccines, we have been failing in slow motion for almost a year. When there is little downside, and large upside, it can be perfectly rational to act on limited data. At least we'll find out faster if it doesn't work

Of course, if there are more promising options that physicians are clamoring for, then let's go with those. This isn't about ivermectin, it's about let's repurpose some therapeutics because it's pretty reasonable to assume this virus is vulnerable to *something* we have

And since there is theoretical and observational support for ivermectin, let's listen to that

What is being advocated is that the support for ivermectin merits additional study. This is a thing you agree with. You also believe that because the data merit additional study that we should start using it as both prophylaxis and also to suppress cytokine storms.

Where your argument falls apart is when you advocate for deploying a therapy that doesn't have sufficient documented support to justify its deployment and you provide, as evidence, that the doctors that want to use it are heroes. Life isn't an action movie. We need data.
