I am proud that my home state of Vermont has chosen to allow importation of drugs from Canada. The goal of a sane health care system in this country should be to keep people well, not to make stockholders rich.

By allowing cheaper imported drugs into the state, we have taken a great step in the fight for health justice.

And not long ago, you, Mr. Sanders, visited Toronto’s modern hospitals where Canadians receive exceptional free medical care. We hate paying higher taxes, but we get a lot for it. I know you took that home to help make America even better.
-
I'd happily pay more in taxes for single payer healthcare.

Sorry, Bern. Nobody is feeling the love any more. We need NEW blood in the party. Not an 80 year old. You should NOT run, as that’s how Trump was elected last time. Are you secretly working for his campaign?
-
Do you think it's time for Nancy Pelosi (78) and Steny Hoyer (78) to retire? How about Diane Feinstein (84)? Or is it somehow OK for centrists to be elderly members of Congress?
-
oh I'm extremely suspicious of this age-based argument, it always seems to show up at....oh.....just the right times, eh?
-
Bernie Sanders is the most popular politician in America and polls showed him beating Trump by a wide margin.
Maybe "Democrats" who don't want him to run in 2020 are secretly working for Trump's campaign. -
I actually think that Bernie, who is really an Independent, divided the Dems & is responsible, in part, for Trumps success. Sorry. But while I do like Bernie, our nation doesn’t need another 80 year old white guy leading us into the future.

I actually think that Hillary Clinton and her campaign staff are responsible, in large part for Trump's success.

Again, it’s not about YOU, Bernie.

It's about low-cost prescriptions for Americans with dire medical conditions carol. But thanks for showing your rear.

Boomer Clinton voters have zero self-actualization. Lived through the most prosperous era and left a wreck in their wake. PUMAs are especially egregious.

Bernie, I am so happy to know that someone with such passion is working to help the US find it's way to healthcare as a human right. I see so many on this thread being negative about what you are doing, unfortunately many will learn the hard way that they need medicare for all.
-
I would feel ashamed that so many families have to turn to 'fund-me' campaigns to pay for their unexpected medical costs. That is not a sustainable plan. Only a single payer system can hold the drug companies to account for jacked up prices, why should Americans pay more?
-
If my family had not been covered by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan), we would have gone bankrupt - I was diagnosed with a chronic disease at age 12 and my sister needed spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. The care I received brought me to my career in nursing.

@People4Bernie 2020 -- it's NEVER too late, because a good man is, indeed, hard to find. we found him a while back, and we're not letting go! -
You know he voted against national health care in 1999? Don't blindly believe what he says now--look at his voting record & bills sponsored
-
Care to cite your sources please because Hillarycare was in 1993 & Bernie had his own bill at the time. So let's see this.
