It's actually the University of California, Google, and Amazon. Walmart is 9th on the list.

FACT: Walmart WANTS $15/hr because that will CLOSE all mom/pop shops around them.
-
That explains why they pay $8 an hour and spend a lot of money and time fighting every minimum wage increase they see. Thanks for clearing that up
-
They make a lot of money by keeping their employees poor off of the food stamps their employees need.

Teachers aren't working class.
-
didn’t realize teachers didn’t work
-
Nobody doesn't think teachers work. It's just an odd example to use when talking about "the working class".
-
It's only an odd example to use if your image of working class is an outdated stereotype. 90% of jobs are in the service sector. That's the modern working class. Miners and farmers are a tiny minority.
-
Except teachers aren't technically in a service sector. They are professionals, like baseball players then must be working class as well.
-
Indoctrinators of the youth, working in the elite sector, albeit getting less money than the rest of the elites.
-
My dude what universe are you in where the teachers are the ones "indoctrinating the youth". Most teachers just like kids and want to help them, the fact that the curriculum enforces the status quo is more a product of liberalism rather than malevolence of teachers

Is this for this weekend? I'm going to one but I was floored there was one in my very conservative town. People on both sides of the aisle love Bernie!

Teachers are not considered working class in New Zealand. Do they not need degrees in the US?
-
They do, they're just paid so poorly and have so much student loan debt they fall into working class with frequency
-
I'm sorry to hear that.
-
They also are typically saddled with the burden of supplying classroom supplies for their students out of pocket, and it is becoming not uncommon for public school teachers to need multiple jobs to get by. Greatest country on earth
-
You’d think there would be a shortage of teachers.
