You already are. You just call it “premiums,” “deductibles” and “copays” instead of “taxes.”

25 bucks when I go to the doctor. My employer pays for my insurance..
-
In other words you get a lower salary than you otherwise could've had. Your employer controls in other words what should've been your real salary
-
Part of my salary is the corporation paying the majority of my premium. It is part of my compensation package, and I am satisfied with the arrangement.
-
And then if you ever have to leave your job or are fired, I guess you're fine with that corporation having the sole power of your healthcare?
-
Yep. I am good with it. I actually paid for an individual plan before Obamacare. The ACA forced it to be cancelled and the closest replacement was 73% higher with lesser coverage.

As I have said many times, nobody in Canada puts a For Sale sign on their lawn because they got sick.
-
No they do because they can’t afford the property taxes. I lived there. 50x50 lot, 1200 sq ft house = $1200.00 annual property taxes, and that was over 15 yrs ago. I still have family up there who tell me about what’s happening.
-
Depends a lot of which city and province you live in.
-
Yes you are right.
-
$1200? My annual property taxes at $5,200 in CA.
-
I was going to say $1200 is cheap! Some people pay as much as $24,000 in IL!
