Everyone is California- call your politicians and tell them to support SB 206! This law is a GAME CHANGER. College athletes can responsibly get paid for what they do and the billions they create.

Considering most of their time is school and athletics with little time to work or sleep, they deserve to be monetarily compensated for the money they bring in

No one is forcing them to play college athletics. They are being compensated with a degree. If they don’t like it, they are welcome to play in Europe (if they are good enough) or not play college athletics at all and to pay for their education like everyone else.

They are being compensated with a grossly overpriced college degree that most of them will never use. The schools are raking in billions from sports, and the athletes get nothing.

They get meals, room and board, books, equipment, clothing, tutors, and the education a lot of others can't afford, and that's not all of it. If they want to be paid then they can pay for all of their stuff which would add up to more than they'll make. Might as well leave it be.

Look who’s “borrowing” Andrew Yang’s platform. JK who stupidly suggests that adopting good ideas from other bright people is an immoral practice for candidates to do to help build a more robust plan to unite behind for a variety of challenges of our day?https://www.yang2020.com/policies/ncaa-pay-athletes/ …

Well....in this case I’m going to bet the California Legislature was working on this independently of Yang’s platform, for quite awhile 😉But in general, I agree, the best part about so many people in the race is the number of good ideas that hopefully gain momentum.
