Elizabeth Warren’s climate plan doesn’t mention fracking.

Now now, she wants to preserve “access” to a habitable climate I’m sure

Nuclear waste is awfulllll. We don't have the infrastructure to ethically dispose of it.
-
The USA has more nuclear power generation than any other country currently, and most of the facilities were built in the 1970s. Building more facilities with new nuclear technology is the way to go imo

What about
#Chernobyl? How much#radiation has been absorbed into the world? It will still be affecting the whole#world after you and I are dead. The air, water, animals, trees. Also, why would#Trump pull a 1st world country out of the#ParisAgreement? -
Even if you include Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear energy is the safest energy source.pic.twitter.com/0xLVF582yE

I’ll agree to ban fracking when Bernie agrees to stop flying in airplanes.
-
"How dare Bernie add no extra emissions where possible by using public transport?!"
#DRNIK!

Anybody who doesn’t propose a full ban, is not serious about the climate crisis and is out of their fracking mind

In before all the nuclear energy bots come through

-
Actually nuclear energy is the safest and cleanest forms of energy. In fact, I believe they’re developing ways by which even nuclear waste would be able to provide energy as it decays. And also, I believe that we should use all forms of energy and never rely on just one.
-
It's the nuclear waste that's the problem
As for the safest and cleanest form I think it's solar energy but than again it's free and greedy rich shitheads gotta make money too so I doubt that's gonna happens anytime soon -
Nuclear waste, although on the dangerous side is FAR less abundant when compared to how much power you get out of it. Sustainable for way longer than most other ways of production.

Fracking is what is allowing the US to meet it's CO2 emission goals.
-
Wrong! The frackers are releasing methane which is 60 times worse as a green house gas.https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/aug/14/fracking-causing-rise-in-methane-emissions-study-finds … http://archive.alleghenyfront.org/story/frack-waste-pollutes-allegheny-tributary-radiation.html …
-
Well, actually the statement is not wrong. It has helped the US hit it’s CO2 reduction commitments... but it certainly hasn’t helped overall due to the methane being released en mass.
-
So it helped the lawyerly parsed “target” according to the laughable Paris Agreement, while actually not helping/actually exacerbating actual climate change! How lovely! And by the book (of lies we tell ourselves?).
-
The road to hell is paved with.... the law of unintended consequences... take your pick right.
