insurance companies shouldn’t exist

Yeah instead let's make the government collect a little bit of money from everyone, then when someone can prove they're sick, the government gives the pooled money to them. But don't forgot the gov employee's need a cut too
-
I mean, it works in literally every other developed country in the world...

Well yes but to be fair most of the research is done by private pharma companies in the states
-
And those private companies are funded by government grants. So we the tax payers pay for the research and dev. Then again pay through the nose for the treatment or medication. Thats our system now. Its wrong in so many ways why can't people see it?
-
Yep, so many industries and products cited as examples of capitalism’s success get huge public subsidies or depend on publicly funded r&d research.

I'll say this forever, because that's how long it will take socialists to understand 1) Healthcare is a service, and nobody has a right to the service of others' labor, and 2) insurance costs would lower if government did not mandate coverage and regulate competition.
-
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want everyone to have healthcare. I am a
RN and couldn’t imagine having to deny someone based on their ability to pay. It’s just part of being a caring human in a caring society. -
First tell me how this is caring... only voluntary giving in a voluntary society is caring.

I can't imagine you would ever deny someone your services if they can't pay. I image you frequently, and without question, volunteer your time and effort to provide healthcare for anyone in need, no matter the cost to you. Surely you spend your free time volunteering your skills!

You're claiming individuals have a right to someone's else's service
-
Rather than your insurance going to an administrator who takes a cut then pays for part of your service, with you paying the rest, the tax you pay covers the entire service. It's really simple.

And common sense in every other first world country other than the US

Yes, we delayed elective surgeries as a preemptive to avoid the winter crisis. All emergency surgeries go ahead immediately. Please do some research from a reputable source next time as this one is full of misinformation. We
our NHS, despite issues with gov underfunding. -
Also the Tories have been defunding the NHS for years, Conservative parties are just a scam that benefits the rich

3) Pharmaceutical companies should not be allowed to make billions of dollars by raising drug costs.
