We stand with the coal miners in Harlan County who aren’t receiving a paycheck. I say to Senator McConnell: Do not turn your back on these communities. Ensure these workers get paid as soon as possible.

A program for retraining these coal miners should be established, in order to put them into new and productive occupations.

That is in Bernie's plan... guaranteeing a just transition from the fossil fuel industry, into new jobs, or early retirement if they want it. Health care, training, wages while they are out of work, pensions etc.
