Teachers already get benefits that other industries don't see: Tenure, summer off, health benefits, pension... Some teachers don't deserve 60K because they are lazy and show a lot of videos when they shouldn't or use the same worksheet for 20 years.

Yes, so they can drive full time for Uber and work at the local craft store or bartend so that they don’t lose their apartments. Ya’ll really out here thinking they’re getting paid to not work, huh? -

A majority of teachers are also HIGHLY educated so they deserve to be paid high wages. It’s not a job everybody can do. We are actual “experts” at what we do. That deserves financial compensation. No matter what. We also do SO much more than “teach”

So here's the thing for me, teachers teach, they mold our youth into the the young adults they are going to be. As our lives becoming increasingly complicated and busy, we rely on our educators to help raise our children. So we should pay them accordingly. Just because we give

someone a more, doesn't mean you get less. And increasing the standard of living of educators means they will have more time to focus on actually educating, instead of their second job. There is nothing won't with paying teachers what they are worth.

Teachers’ pay should be based on location. NO to cancelling student debt (it’s not fair to those who worked hard and made responsible choices! The general public should NOT be subsidizing this. This reason may end up being the single issue I don’t vote for you)

I’m mad that kids get vaccines now instead of measles and mumps. It’s not fair to past generations who got the measles and mumps.

I’m actually really confused what argument you’re trying to make.. it just sounds facetious and not logical at all..

He's pointing out how ridiculous it is to say "We shouldn't progress and fix broken systems because I had to deal with it." FFS.

But that’s not what I’m saying.. that’s a huge oversimplification..

I'm sorry, but it's what you said. It's not fair for us to wipe current debt because you paid. So did I, but I'm aware enough to realize it's the right thing to do and support it. It's a massive drag on an entire generatio. Right now we can fix that while we set up the future.

I've paid off most of my student debt, but my much younger brother hasn't yet. If his debt gets cancelled, I won't whine that is not fair, I will be relieved he doesn't need to struggle like I have for years. That he will be able to chase opportunities and dreams I wasn't able to

because if the financial burden I carried. Yes, I chose to go to school, I chose to take on the debt. But I didn't have a choice in the system. Let's stop punishing new generations because we went without.

If we can give billions to those who don't need it...we can do this. We all need to stop pretending we can't

We need to quit giving billions in corporate welfare to companies and billions to Israel and other foreign aid.
