What’s Bernie going to do about our Foreign Policy?

Government cash handouts need to be coupled with strict rent control and other pricing regulations, or else all that UBI money is going straight to the landlords and all the other kinds of rent-seekers. Look at what happened with FAFSA and the ballooning cost of college.

There's 7 times more empty homes than homeless people in the USA. The only competition is who can take more money from tenants.

We need to address climate change aggressively for sure. Doesn't mean Bernie's plan is definitively the right way to do it. Almost certainly nuclear should be a part of the transition.

I have high hopes for Yang's plan. I agree with his policies but he hasn't released his official plan yet - should be exciting! I think we are in for a lot of good climate change talk in the future debates, with Inslee out of the race I imagine candidates will want to reach out.

I respect Yang and the Yang Gang. But Bernie, on top of being pretty policy-heavy, has been proven time and again to stand on the right side of history.

Bernie is talking about how we can't afford politics as usual and I agree, but somehow he isn't pushing a move to a human centered system. We need the #AmericanScorecard! #HumanityFirst

"Human centered system" is pretty meaningless when the most rich and powerful are not challenged.

Yes, what about that? Those measures are already used in many countries to decide what social programs should be created, which ones should get more funding, etc. Corporations will never have anything other than profit as the first goal.

Which is why Yang is proposing adding incentives for companies (and entities in general) that positively contribute to their communities in a measurable way. Right now it's just done for PR, but a lot more good would get done if it boosted their bottom line.

Those incentives only work if they're bigger than the profit they would get without them. But the origin of many problems stems from the corruption created by companies that use their profit to influence politics. So these incentives would make them richer and more powerful. 1/
