If you look at the plan, you will see that it's paid by a speculation tax on wall street frequent trades. .01 percent. It will affect the super rich but only nominally.

I paid for my kids education.....will I get a credit?

Maybe one day, who knows, but they certainly won't have to pay for their children to go to a place of higher learning.

Do you have any idea how much we end up paying back? The interest is on each quarter/semester borrowed instead of the time as a whole.

I’m glad I paid my student loans (still paying 1). Made me appreciate my education even more. Interest rates, tho, RIDICULOUS. Student debt shouldn’t be eliminated: it’s part of growing up. Interest, however, should be capped. Young people deserve responsibility, not punishment.

I paid off my student loans, but I'd love for future students to be able to enter the workforce without a mountain of debt hanging over them.
