Yeah I don't know who told Bernie that it was a wildfire. Investigators said it was negligence of PG&E equipment that started it.

Aside from that’s not what he said. Depending who’s definition you use a wildfire doesn’t have to be started by nature to be called that. Nor is it the understanding in common parlance. Some organizations do use that. But Most wildfires are started by people, intentional or not.

No. It was mismanagement of the forest. Environmentalists fought against forest management and won injunctions.

Not in this case. The
#CampFire wasn't started in or even near a state or federal forest. It appears to have been caused by poor PG&E management, drought, and lack of defensible space around most of the structures.

We are beyond the point of climate change being a problem that can be solved passively. It is a technological problem and will require a global effort to preserve the future of our species. Saving ourselves will have to be our first act of borderline megascale engineering.

Bernzie, as a Californian i can tell you that town was built as a firehouse insurance fraud like they are doing in LOCKEFORD OVER IN MENDOCINO BUILDING A TOWN ON DRY CLIFF WITH LITTLE WATER AND LURING PEOPLE TO have TO GO THERE BY MAKING THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE DENTAL PLACE THERE

That is my hometown. Many friends & family lost their long-time homes & work in that fire. The ridge has always been vulnerable to fires, & an ongoing drought has caused very dry conditions over the last 15-20 years. Summers are hot & long. The combo makes it a tinder box.

no, the fact we allow don’t allow small fires is what is making them worse, the longer the interval the more damage there is cause of more forrest debris.
