I was in solitary confinement twice in my 5-year odyssey through the US Bureau of Prisons, one time for 21 days, another for 8 days. You can’t call it torture. You just read books by yourself. Torture for 21 days would be a very serious thing, leaving physical & emotional damage.

It was horrible and you seem to forget the worst of the worst, Marc... but that’s the way you now deal with it. Forgetting the awfulness. I remember how bad it was for you... I was there... or denied visits... It was traumatic. It’s all in the prison blogs you and I wrote then...

You also have a much stronger mind and ability to deal with hardship than most people, too. So consider that your experience was much easier to endure than it would be (and is) for the vast majority of others. If I were in solitary, it would drive me insane and feel like torture!

It is torture!

For animals, too? Many female pigs (proven to be as smart as human toddlers) spend the majority of their lives confined to a space so small they can’t even turn around. We should discuss environmental impacts, too. Animal agriculture conveniently stays out of that convo, a lot.pic.twitter.com/h1DW4lt4ns

"On pollution emissions, Sanders said he would hold factory farms accountable for such pollution by strictly enforcing the Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act."https://edition.cnn.com/2019/05/05/politics/bernie-sanders-rural-agriculture-plan/index.html …

I don't see any real help for animals in there, sure they need to clean up the waste better, but nothing about stopping the conditions the animals themselves live in as far as I can tell.
-
i was pointing to pollution comment. And asking why you didn't put out a plan for animals in your criminal justice platform is like.. weird.
-
I am just clarifying that a lot of people (ARAs) read Bernie's going after Factory Farms as pro-animal, it really wasn't. It is still good that he is doing it for some environmental purposes, but the animals will still suffer.

What if the prisoner is in solitary confinement because he keeps stabbing people? Or something like that. Honest question.
-
You can put a prisoner under closer surveillance and separate him/her from general population without solitary.

Kinda like they did with Epstein?

. This from the guy that wants the Boston Bomber’s vote. -
I am embarrassed that I once thought of this guy as someone that would bring home American jobs and care about working people. He gets more nuts every week! Thank God Trump gave Americans someone to turn to

Ditto, he showed his true colors when he didnt stand up for him self when the DNC stole his nomination, if he wont stand up for himself why would he stand up for us
