BERNIE when you bring about change within these unions; WHERE IS THE PETITION AND WHY NOT CONNECT THEM NATIONWIDE...When one goes on strike the nation goes on strike. Oh! I forgot that sounds too BERNIE-RAGEIOUS!

How about National safe staffing ratios? No nurse should ever have to care for 7 or 8 patients at a time.

Why is health care so expensive ? (1) Cost of drugs, (2) cost of labor loaded rate, (3) cost to treat uninsured, (4) cost of physician/hospital insurance.
-
Those costs are minimal in comparison to the massive prifits that
#BigPharma and vulture capitalist#healthinsurance charge!

Good e.g. of how union input can positively impact company policy. In collective bargaining strong unions can help work out business policy on non-wage issues like hiring diversity, the environment, innovation, etc. Even better if govt is part of 3-way negotiations, as in Sweden.
-
#Germany has an equal number of union members on corporate boards as others. Germany also makes better more desirable products than any other. It's bc workers play a critical role in R&D to manufacturing production! -
Excellent point. I've studied Sweden, too, and historically they've had 70-80% unionization rates, incl. white collar. Collective bargaining between union-business-govt. Good idea because they can negotiate social services + policy, amount they pay x pensions, healthcare, etc.
