What happens to small town hospitals and Dr’s? It’s a legit question will small towns suffer
-
-
-
No. Actually it will reduce the money wasted on the overhead required to deal with insurance companies like billing departments and probably increase business as small town residents are the most likely to be uninsured.
-
Good question though, people are emphasizing the moral benefits but not the money saving benefits enough. Its a win win situation.
-
It isn’t a win-win if small town doctors don’t know how to deal with a disease that you have. My small town hospital once gave me 36 hours to live. That was 10 years ago. Philly-this very hospital- saved my life and has kept me alive to see my son reach 16.

I will never turn Medicare into a voucher. No American should ever have to spend their golden years at the mercy of insurance companies. They should retire with the care and dignity they have earned.

Greed is the moral compass for the American Economy. Things will never change because the people that can make it change don’t want it to because it will be less $$$ in their pockets...just sayin..rich people want to stay rich.

Sanders is a millionaire thanks to writing a bestseller. He is literally campaigning on (read in his voice for best effect) "I should be paying more taxes for the services working-class people need."

Very upset. This is where I go for my Lupus treatments (including chemo). It’s 90 minutes from my house, but there’s a reason that I’m willing to go that far. They’ve kept me alive. I’m truly not sure where I will go now.

Does anyone know what the true story is about Hahneman’s demise? I would like to know.
-
From what I understand (and I’m a frequent patient) it’s MANY people showing up to the ER without insurance. They can’t turn them away. Then they get admitted. This is what the ACA was trying to prevent. Charity cases aren’t really charity. Someone pays for that care.
-
What happened to Hahnemann is the hospital was purchased by a Private Equity firm, which forced it into bankruptcy with the express intention of turning the property into (more lucrative) luxury condos and hotels. This was not inevitable, or necessary. Just greed.
