THANK YOU, Sen. Sanders. I just addressed our most vulnerable and elderly in #MyBernieStory earlier today. Our elderly are sorely neglected and suffering. I know. I worked in home health for a few years and carried groceries in to those folks' homes more times than I can count.

And the people who care for our parents and our babies, and educate our children are paid obscenely low wages, even though they are performing the most valuable service, while useless Wall Street pirates pillage whatever they manage to save for their own retirements.

We need to figure out what the Hell our work is worth. I worked for JC Penney, doing call center work for $14 an hour, talking to a mix of idiots and people who ran into the 20% failure rate of JCP's website. The Mexicans in the warehouse made $15 an hour doing backbreaking work.

My dad is a guard at a military depot and makes $25 an hour to look at someone's I'd every few minutes. I busted my ass down in Virginia as a janitor for $8 an hour.

Salaries, as a rule, are abominable in southern VA especially. The lady that does ALL the laundry in the facility I work, a nursing home and rehab center, makes a tad more than min wage. Nasty, back breaking, hot, messy work too and it is nonstop.

I worked at a university in the south. Nobody was paid their value, especially not the staff.

Social Security sounds good and all but will it solve racism? I think we need to solve racism before we start providing benefits to the poor and working-class.
