I stand with workers of the Sanders Campaign, who are working long hrs but not getting $15/hr. In their contract if they get a raise their healthcare insurance coverage will be reduced. When are you going to realize that "healthcare" and "insurance" are different things?

Cute, however their union already negotiated pay up to $42,000 salary. They were at a $36,000 salary. Which is above $15 per hour for a 40 hour week. But since many worked more than 40 hours the union negotiated a pay raise. Exactly how unions are supposed to work.

If you went with UBI you would be helping these people protect their unions by not worrying about money if they strike. Not only should $15/hour be set, but UBI to keep corporations from trying to control unions and free speech

Historically all airlines not government subsidized go broke when their cost structure gets out of line. Go for it unions. Just don't expect a bailout later. When Bernie will be nowhere to be found.
-
"Cost structure" includes CEO and other executive compensation-which is in the MILLIONS per year for just a few individuals. If you decrease the absurd ratio of CEO-to-lowest worker ratio to a reasonable level, total compensation costs will stay the same or potentially DROP.
-
Oh I'm right there with you on athletes - TRUST ME. And I'm a huge sports fan. And you present yet another argument to take the profit motive out of an industry. I hadn't even thought of that. People say Oh no, Socialism! - but *profit* at the potential expense of a plane crash?
