I was just saying Bernie talks in specifics not platitudes, Pfizer donates $20 million for a $39 Billion tax break,,specifically not generally.

Why don't you get a bunch of good-hearted wealthy people to get together to form a non-profit company & produce much less expensive insulin? Is that impossible? If it can be done, it would be more effective than just complaining. Can it be done? Is there a law that says it can't?
-
Drug companies have a patent in which they change the formula slightly every few years and are able to keep anyone else from making the drug in perpetuity. Other countries have way cheaper prices because their government collectively bargains the price.
-
Thanks. I was hoping there was no good explanation, but guessed there was otherwise we would have seen the cheaper insulin by now.

I am not a fan of socialism but I must agree 100% with Bernie Sanders that this pharmaceutical scandalous issue must be corrected at once; a bipartisan endevour would be ideal.

That’s one round of Chemo?
-
Yes. It's Immunotherapy which is similar to chemo. She'll have that twice a month for a year.
-
Wow, that’s insane! I live in the UK so we never see bills like this. The cost is staggering.

Or the murder-suicide that was just reported because the elderly couple couldn’t afford their medical bills. That’s just wrong.

If Americans are coming to Canada to buy insulin, then the crisis will spill over the border. I am glad to know that traveling to Canada has helped, but this is an example of how/why people from other countries are ALLOWED to comment on the state of America.
-
The dumpster fire that is the USA currently IS affecting everyone else. I am hopeful that someone — Bernie, Warren, Beto, whoever — will do right by Americans and care for their citizens rather than making it OPEN SEASON on people through 2A & NRA influence.
