Where will all the mental healthcare providers come from? Out of thin air? We already have a physician shortage and they are leaving Medicare and Medicaid because the reimbursements are so low.

We fund medical education so that anyone with the qualifications, compassion, and ambition can become a doctor. That is how we solve the healthcare provider shortage.

In Canada nurse practitioners adequately replace doctors at thousands of small walk in and free clinics. A fantastic service, educated professionals available for 85% of service, diagnosis and referrals done in the US by doctors.

Absolutely! The current healthcare system crisis isn’t just about who has insurance or who doesn’t, but also the lack of coverage for so many necessary services because it isn’t profitable. All healthcare should be covered - physical, mental, long term care, etc.
