How are voters being suppressed? I'm sincerely asking. I'm a working class black man who votes in a poor area of Houston,Texas. I've never encountered any opposition to voting. There may be things I'm not aware of but from where I live - citizens are able to vote.

Often times gerrymandering. It’s not always a matter of keeping people from voting, so much as ensuring that their votes don’t matter.
-
Thank you for the respectful response. I need to look more into gerrymandering. Many voters in Texas don’t feel like their vote matters because it’s a right wing state. Even if I don’t agree with everyone, every vote should matter.
-
What’s interesting about that is Texas is actually starting to swing blue in a lot of areas. I forgot to mention gerrymandering actually can keep some people from voting, because if they get drawn out of their dist, they have to figure out where they have to vote-

Voter suppression exists because voting is powerful. The way to win is getting out the vote. Talking to the disengaged, non-voters, young new potential voters, the undecided, the cynical. Learn how to vote in the primary: http://Voteforbernie.org

I agree. Citizens have the constitutional right to free and fair elections. This can be done by requiring photo ID so that we can track if non-citizens, Russians, Chinese, Iranians and any others are voting.

I think Bernie, that far too many people vote. We would all be better off if only responsible people with skin in the game voted. This was also the opinion of our wise Founders.
-
Everyone has skin in the game, whether they like it or not. Politics, laws, the outcome of votes - all of them affect all people in this country, whether they vote or not. Everyone should be able, and encouraged, to vote. Not just those who pass some litmus test.

This was the intent of the Supreme Court ruling. Allow the legislator and executive branch to create modern laws for modern situations.
