No reason to have assault weapons in the streets.
The federal government must ban assault weapons and implement a buyback program to get assault weapons off the streets.

What is an assault weapon? I always hear the term but never hear it defined.

DOJ defines them as: "semiautomatic firearms with a large magazine of ammunition that were designed and configured for rapid fire and combat use." Pretty darn vague

There is no such thing as an assault weapon and an AR isn’t a weapon of war. Dishonesty is the only way to get support for this idiocy. Would be nice if we actually fixed the problem.

For the sake of brevity with Twitter's character limitations, let's just assume it's anything that "looks like" a rifle/carbine used by any military force. AR15, SKS, AK-47/74, M16 variants, high cap mags, etc.
