Average profit margin for health insurance company in 2018: 5.25% Socialism is fundamentally immoral because it turns citizens into slaves to the state.
-
5% is barely justification for existence

It needs to be priviatized buzzo, we can’t afford to add a penny more to the national debt.
-
Let’s start with the bloated military budget
-
2020 budget is expected to have a deficit of $1trillion. Total military spending is projected to be $600billion. So even if you completely cut military we still are in the hole. It’s the popular place to start but not the problem.
-
It's closer to a trillion a year due to the way departments are structured. DoD, Homeland security, ancillary veterans services. It's 60% of all federal income tax revenues. Medicare and SS are funded by separate line items.

Can you provide the link that indicates the entire $1.3 Trillion is for military spending. Thanks in advance.

Why do so many Americans believe this is a work ethic issue over a moral issue?
-
Belief in the "work ethic" as sufficient for success validates the circumstances of the privelaged. They say their position is the result of work, not luck. It's hard for the privelaged to justify their luxury/wealth if they concede it exists in a cruel, indifferent system.

This is an extremely interesting article for those that think the Democratic Party is moving too far to the left...Today’s Dem platform is actually the original mainstream platform once embraced by FDR.https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/11/04/elections-2018-democrats-history-liberal-progressive-socialist-222187 …

FDR got my Grandpa out of poverty. Granpa was a sharecropper's son. Got training in construction with WPA, moved west and started his own business specializing in bricklaying and driveways. Raised a family of 9 w/house and car. Thats what he got from FDRs Social Laws :D

funny how she and other candidates took all of his ideas that he's been preaching for decades and are getting credit for them. on top of that, she just rolled back on her incoherent health care reform policy:https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/28/kamala-harris-health-insurance-medicare-for-all-1386595 …
-
the only reason any of the candidates are jumping on the medicare-for-all bus is because they have to keep up with Bernie's far more progressive policy
-
yea and they ain't even offering what bernie is offering, true universal healthcare, nothing private
