If we are a nation that can pay baseball players hundreds of millions of dollars, don't tell me we can't afford to pay teachers the salaries they deserve.pic.twitter.com/pQVix0iX9a

We are paying those players because we're buying the tickets, team memorabilia and products endorsed by the players that generate the megaprofits for the teams owners who then pay the players based on their ability to generate that revenue

Holy cow, surely your moron followers realize baseball players are paid by private owners, not the government.

Because pro sports teams in private leagues can pay their athletes millions, that means taxpayers can pay teachers more? What are you talking about? I was surprised to see you polling so badly this time around, but now I get it. You seem like a nice man but you speak gibberish.

Oh I dunno- I get your point but I THINK his point is less about the specifics of why people get paid what they do and more about the question of: as a society, perhaps we are valuing the wrong things and if we valued the 'right' things, imagine what we could do and be. You know?
